Consignment Agreement

Consignments are accepted from 10:00 am ro 4:00 pm Monday through Saturday. The commission is one-third of the sale price. Connecticut imposes a 6% service tax on the commission. This means that $1.80 will be deducted from each $100 sold. We are required to deduct this amount and send it into the state for you.

All items are reduced by 10% every 30 days. If you do not want your item reduced, you must come and pick it up at the end of 30 days or it will be reduced automatically.

We keep items for four months at the end of which time you must come and pick the items up. We do not call you. You must call us and we will collect the items for you. You may then pick the items up at your convenience. If you do not pick your items up after four months, we will, without notice to you, dispose of them, donate them or reduce them to a lower price at our sole discretion.

If an item is large, we suggest you bring us a photograph of it and we will give you an approcimate price and then send movers to pick the item up. There is no charge for a local pick up. If the item does not sell by the end of four months, and you request that it be returned to you, there will be a delivery fee – usually $45 for local deliveries and $125 for deliveries to New York City.

All consignment are also subject to the terms and conditions of our regular consignment agreement, a copy of which is available upon request.
